The RTS Stock Exchange offers its clients a new online information system - RTS Desktop.
RTS Desktop is a program that delivers online market data directly to a user's screen. Having once loaded the program from the RTS Web site, a user can receive information directly, without an Internet browser.
Two RTS Desktop versions are currently available:
RTS Complete Desktop - provides data on all RTS markets, the most liquid securities' online quotes and indices dynamics (click here to see what RTS Complete Desktop would look like on your screen)
RTS Basic Desktop - provides data similar to that available on the RTS Stock Exchange Web site main page (click here to see what RTS Basic Desktop would look like on your screen).
How to Install RTS Desktop on Your Computer
If you are using Internet Explorer (version 4.0 and higher), please click on the 'RTS Complete Desktop' or 'RTS Basic Desktop' button, - depending on which version you would like to install. Both versions can be installed on the same computer. During the installation all questions from the program-installer should be answered "OK". To complete the installation, please close all windows on your screen.
If you would like to reinstall RTS Desktop, you will need to delete the existing version first. RTS Desktop uninstallation procedure can be found further down on this page.
If you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer, you will have to manually add a program to your Desktop. To do so, please close all windows, find an empty spot on your computer screen, right-click the mouse, point to "Active Desktop", and click on "New Active Desktop item". A window will open up. Please enter the appropriate link into the window field:
http://www.rts.ru/desktope.aspx (for RTS Complete Desktop version of the program)
http://www.rts.ru/desktope.aspx?mode=small (for RTS Basic Desktop version of the program)
and press "OK" to complete.
Working with RTS Desktop
Turning On: To see the RTS Desktop on your screen, please right-click the mouse, select "Desktop" from the menu, then choose either "RTS Complete Desktop" or "RTS Basic Desktop" from the submenu, depending on the installed version of the program.
Turning Off: To turn the RTS Desktop module off, either uncheck the "RTS Complete Desktop" or "RTS Basic Desktop" options on the submenu, depending of what version you have installed, or bring the cursor to the upper part of window and press 'x' on the screen.
Changing Window Size and Location: The size of an RTS Desktop module can be changed similar to that of a Microsoft's Window. To change a location of the module, please bring your cursor to the upper part of the module and 'drag' the window to the desired location.
Deleting RTS Desktop from your Computer
To delete the RTS Desktop module from your computer, right-click the mouse on your desktop, point to "Active Desktop" and click 'Customize Active Desktop'. Then select the item you would like to delete and press "Delete".
