To exercise an Option the Holder has to make an application (not later than on the expiration date). Settlement shall be provided on the trading day, on which the application was received. If the expiration date is the last trading day for the underlying asset, "in-the-money" Option will be exercised automatically. If the expiration date is not the last trading day for the underlying asset, "deep in-the-money" Option (meaning that the option is in-the-money more than the limit) will be exercised automatically on the expiration date. The Option is exercised by concluding a Futures contract between the Holder and the Writer at a price equal to the strike price (long position for the Holder, short position for the Writer).
