On January 3, 2011 futures contracts on the average power price index in the Center hub (ECBM-12.11 and ECPM-12.11), Ural hub (EUBM-12.11 and EUPM-12.11), Western Siberia hub (SWBM-12.11) and Eastern Siberia hub (SEBM-12.11) were settled.
In accordance with the contracts’ specifications the following final settlement prices were calculated:
- ECBM-12.11 – 864.22 RUB/MWh
- ECPM-12.11 – 1032.16 RUB/MWh
- EUBM-12.11 – 811.25 RUB/MWh
- EUÐM-12.11 – 920.98 RUB/MWh
- SEBM-12.11 – 648.63 RUB/MWh
- SWBM-12.11 – 659.34 RUB/MWh.
The final settlement price is computed in accordance with the contract’s specifications based on the arithmetical mean of all values of the underlying power prices index that were published by the Moscow Energy Exchange for the period December 1st thru December 31st, 2011.
The below positions were settled for the following amounts:
- ECBM-12.11 – 976 contracts for RUB62.811 million
- ECPM-12.11 – 550 contracts for RUB16.249 million
- EUBM-12.11 – 408 contracts for RUB24.648 million
- EUÐM-12.11 – 468 contracts for RUB12.341 million
- SWBM-12.11 – 4 contracts íà for RUB0.196 million.
During the lifetime of the December power futures 2,312 trades with a total value of RUB7.358 billion representing 156,667 contracts were executed. 2,406 contracts for a total of RUB116 million were settled.
